#Toonies for Tummies Shares How 2017 Donations Are Making an Impact

October 12 2017

The Toonies for Tummies campaign continues to help enable success for students in Ontario and now in Western Canada.

Yes, the need is great! but we'd like to think the evidence is mounting showing our impact is even greater. When we give school-aged children access to nutritious foods, we all win. Students who eat breakfast have a better chance of graduating, show improvements in nutrition and in nutrition education, which is vital to their long-term health and well being. Initiative and academics improve at school, fueling their confidence. Now that school is in full swing, the donations from the 2017 campaign are hard at work. You can check out how much money was raised in ON and in Western Canada – here. These funds are hard at work benefiting the communities where donations were made. Thank you to everyone who supported this incredibly vital movement!

We are in the midst of planning our 2018 campaign in Ontario and in Western Canada, made possible by our retailer partners, sponsors, and of course, the shoppers who opt to make a donation and support children in their local communities.

Student nutrition programs may not be always visible to each and every one of us each day, but the impact is most certainly seen and felt. Thank you to everyone who has donated and continues to donate during the campaign and year-round.

We are also most grateful to our Agents of Change Student Ambassadors who continue to support the campaign and are bringing the message of impact and the importance of student nutrition to life in their schools and communities.

Together, we are nourishing communities and helping build a brighter future.
